The Country-Check Master Index was created to meet the growing global market demand for a holistic jurisdictional risk assessment tool.

Designed and engineered by World-Check, the Country-Check ranking methodology is based on an extensive statistical network model. The system enables the aggregation of dozens of credible Risk Sources selected by World-Check from established information sources in the public domain. These are categorised into three primary Risk Factors, namely Political, Economic and Criminal. The statistical model used for country risk calculations is the result of the collaborative efforts of a team of academics working in the statistics and computer science fields.

The Country-Check Master Index covers 244 countries and territories in the world, effectively making Country-Check a truly global jurisdictional risk assessment tool.

Featuring both risk ranking and banded risk profiling functionalities, Country-Check’s Master Index provides a transparent and methodologically justifiable model for country-specific risk assessment.

The Country-Check Master Index is calculated by aggregating three Primary Factors. The Political, Financial and Criminal Factors are all calculated by aggregating specific Risk Dimensions. Each of these, in turn, is fed by a broad range of risk sources. Country-Check’s focus on factual sources and methodologically justifiable risk calculation model makes it the most wide-ranging country risk index available.
